OMG. YES I survived cairns camp with NO SUNBURN MUAHAHAHAHOO. Yes I love the place so much, Mungalli falls is so beautiful and the afternoon temperature is totally sexy. If I am to build a holiday home I will pick Mungalli falls (: The only drawback is that the morning and night temperatures are killer during that one week. I can freeze with 2 sweaters and a windbreaker on, and I might just hug someone nearby jus to keep warm so WATCH OUT :).
Day 1, we did the obstacle course in mungalli falls. Orders were given that we had to split into 2 teams and build a raft each. Sadly in my team only dayong really knows the mechanics of raft building owing to his NPCC proness, therefore we were freaking laggy, and our raft was totally giamchai compared to yuguang’s team’s. HAHA our raft was named TITANIC, and the official chant for it is “ICEBERG, ICEBERG”. Then came the amazing twist of fate. The camp instructor cassie ordered the 2 teams to SWAP RAFTS. SWAP. HAHAHA we were choking in laughter as we watched the otha team drag our zibei raft which dismantled itself before reaching the water, while we bathe in the glory of strategic supremacy. *WE KNEW SOMETHING LIDDAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN. *WE HAD A HUNCH. MY HUNCH MY HUNCH MY HUNCH. Then we climbed, swung, crawled through the obstacle course built on a large green field. The field was just like a minefield to us, every 5-10 metres there will be a heap of horse shyt lying in ambush. Everyone were going “AHH WATCH OUT!” “THERE! LOOK OUT!” “STOPP!!!”, it seemed like we were maneuveuring through enemy territory in world war 3. Guess that adds to team spirit HOO
On the 2nd day, we learnt abseiling and played the landslide. The cliff which we abseiled down from was darn slippery, and I couldn’t keep my grip on the rock sometimes. Once, I was watching someone else start to abseil, and he suddenly slipped, disappearing from the top of the cliff. Landslide was fun. 100m 50 degrees slide down to a muddy pond, with a soft board to protect our delicate hineys. We went glowworm spotting in the nightm guided by this park ranger dude. They were like pretty lil stars tucked away amongst the trees.( glowworms. Not parkrangers. ) and I saw a falling star! A REAL ONE. The night sky is fabulously beautiful la. Even dayong says he can spend one whole night lying on the grass and staring up. The following night, a rock band played songs for us, while we danced wif the aussie kids there. They are darn hyper and friendly laa, so not racist at all unlike in otha parts of Australia. The guitarist of the band is real good, hes not just a fast shredder, but his solos have this emotional feeling to them, not just fast, that’s why they sound great. AND OH MAN dayong went NUTS during the dance. I’ve never seen such a hyper sampan eva. WZ U SHOODA SEEN HIM LAAAA
Nxt morn, departed from mungalli sadly(mayb its just me) , and went to watch some tjapukai tribe performance, before leaving 4 our new RESORT accommodation. 1. SWIMMING POOL + JACUZZI, 2.XBOX ROOM (with one xbox and 2 controllers) 3. POOL TABLES. 4. BATH ROOM WITH 2 CUBICLES WHICH LACK.. DOORS. But no scandals pls cuz we are straight macho guys.
The following day we had white water rafting at the tully river! My favourite activity we had in cairns! Our Newzealander instructor/captain Gordon appointed Ezra and I as the “frontsmen” of the boat because we look “strong and adventurous” HAHA javis sat at the back and ended up being VICE CAPTAIN. Gordon is a one-of-a-kind instructor man, you wouldn’t imagine how he taught us. Pure and innocent peeps shoodnt read on in this paragraph (: but I HAD to write it here =X . OK so dayong was the pacer, the one who shouts “ONE, TWO, ONE, TWO” to coordinate paddling. But he somehow screws up and got owned by Gordon, who said, “We must have rhythm in paddling! Just like we need rhythm in sex! Come on, SEX! SEX! SEX!” from then on, shouts of “SEX” can be heard from raft 18 evry paddle we make.
Whats more, guanchiang was going “HARDO GAY” whenever we meet the Japanese rafters, and Gordon enquired what hard gay is. We told him it is a popular Japanese video on YouTube, and his reply : “OHH I have been to Japan before. Japanese girls are Tasty! But Japanese Videos suk! All blurry and censored..”
Madness.
Returned home at 8pm+ on Sunday, wanted to pon school but parents didn’t let me ( SORRY JAVIS )
